At Callisto Tea House, we tested every tea in our lineup to find the best Cold Brew Teas. While cold brewing is a great way to enjoy chilled tea, in some cases it can bring out bitterness, or just miss the balance of flavors achieved with hot brewing. After testing each tea with various ratios and brewing times, we identified a number of our teas and herbals that make excellent Cold Brews. This summer we're serving up three varieties:
Our popular roasted Japanese Green Tea, Cookie-cha is just as good cold as it is hot. The nutty sweetness of the roasted tea offers a robust flavor. Cookie-cha is naturally low in caffeine, while still being high in theanine and other benefits of Tea.
Silver Spring is a White Tea, made entirely from buds of the tea plant picked in Spring. It has a floral character with a silky smooth mouthfeel. An easy drinking and refreshing Cold Brew for Summer.
Hibiscus Rose is a classic iced beverage. This caffeine-free Herbal is bright and tart, thanks to hibiscus, rose hips and lemon grass. It will pick you back up if the sun is bearing down on you.
Stay tuned, as we will be rotating out Cold Brew flavors, along with our other Seasonal Highlights, in the coming months!
