White teas are becoming more popular, with recent developments expanding the flavor profiles and brewing styles. Now grown all over the world, it can be a bit daunting to know what to expect from such varied teas. In this session, we’ll try 4 different styles of white teas from 4 different countries to get a sense of what this type has to offer. This is a great opportunity to begin to understand the vast variety of teas.
- Pele's Glow (grown in Volcano national park in Hawaii, USA)
- Silver Spring (White Peony [bai mu dan] style tea from the Nilgiri Mountains in Tamil Nadu, India)
- White Pearls (tea leaves pressed into balls for easy brewing)
- Wild White Longevity 2008 (15 year aged shou mei from Fujian, China)
