The deepest of green teas, from Kyoto, Japan. Like a fresh-cut lawn overlooking ocean cliffs, Sencha has a slightly savory -- even umami -- flavor to it. The steaming process applied to this tea brings out a sweetness, giving our premium Sencha less of a grassy edge.

This is a ‘deep steamed’ (fukamushi) tea, which causes the leaves to break down. Tiny particles of leaf make for a slightly cloudy brew; wait a few moments before sipping to let it - and your mind - settle.
